Blizzard Announces Multiple Diablo Projects

A video featuring Blizzard's associate community manager Brandy Camel discussing Diablo has been released.

Not only is Blizzard Entertainment working on a comic book series and hiring for a new Diablo game, the publisher-developer has announced that there are "multiple Diablo projects" in the works. At the time, a reimagining of the second game seemed unlikely, as did a full-on Diablo 4. As to what these Diablo projects will be? "Some will take longer than others", Camel explains, and news will apparently be shared later this year; a clear setup for a BlizzCon reveal in November. For those of you still rocking your heroes in Reaper of Souls, you might have noticed we did something a little bit different for Season 14: Themed Seasons.

"The forges here at Blizzard are burning hot, and we have multiple Diablo projects in the works". Given the push to mobile gaming in recent years, there might also be a mobile version of the original Diablo or Diablo II in the works. One of them, we believe, is Diablo 3 Switch.

Stay awhile and listen - we have exciting updates to share about the future of Diablo.

Today, Blizzard put out a new video on Twitter which reveals more about the future of the Diablo franchise.
