Mr Austin was sent a letter by the Labour Party in mid-July warning him that he faced disciplinary action and an investigation into his behaviour, which was branded as "abusive conduct".
He has been threatened with disciplinary action after "heated discussion" on the subject with Labour Party General Secretary Ian Lavery in the Commons earlier this month in which is reported to have said: "Under this leadership the Labour Party has become a sewer".
He urged the party's ruling National Executive Committee (NEC) to "reconsider" its decision on the code of conduct and include the definition unamended.
The party's newly adopted definition of anti-Semitism omits a number of significant clauses set out by the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) - whose definition has been implemented by the government, Scottish Parliament, the Welsh Assembly as well as a host of local councils.
Britain's Labour Party has deferred a vote on a motion that would mean the party would accept the way the global community defines anti-Semitism.
Labour's code explicitly endorses the IHRA's working definition of anti-Semitism and includes a list of behaviours likely to be regarded as anti-Semitic copied word-for-word from the global organisation's own document.
"Am I upset about anti-Semitism?"
The long-running dispute in Britain's opposition Labour Party over racism in its ranks has bubbled over again amid complaints that the party's new anti-Semitism code does not go far enough.
A Labour Party spokesperson said: "The Labour Party takes all complaints extremely seriously".

And shadow global trade secretary Barry Gardiner told the Jewish News: "My view is that it would have been better for the party to adopt the IHRA definition in full with all the examples and then to add all the clauses necessary to make it enforceable rather than to appear to cavil and weaken the definition".
Under the headline United We Stand, the Jewish Chronicle, Jewish Telegraph and Jewish News described Labour's refusal to adopt in full the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance's (IHRA) definition of anti-Semitism as "sinister".
Austin told BBC Radio 4's World this Weekend programme he had been animated when talking with Lavery.
The newspaper claims the row was on the same day veteran Labour MP Dame Margaret Hodge told Mr. Corbyn he's a racist because of his failure to tackle anti-Semitism. We need to be tough on anti-Semitism, not the people who call it out.
"Under its adapted guidelines, a Labour Party member is free to claim Israel's existence is a racist endeavour and compare Israeli policies to those of Nazi Germany, unless "intent" - whatever that means - can be proved".
"The next Labour government poses no threat of any kind whatsoever to Jewish people", the spokesman said.
The party expressed concern over creating a code of conduct that could be "used to deny Palestinians, including Palestinian citizens of Israel and their supporters, their rights and freedoms to describe the discrimination and injustices they face in the language they deem appropriate", said The Guardian.
Jeremy Corbyn has displayed utter contempt for the Jewish community that was so instrumental in building the Labour Party, as well as his own MPs who have begged him to take action against anti-Semitism.
Responding to the editorial, Gideon Falter, chairman of Campaign Against Anti-Semitism, said: We hear from members of our community constantly that were Jeremy Corbyn to become prime minister, they would take the drastic step of leaving the country.
