A powerful natural disaster on the Indonesian tourist island of Lombok killed at least 10 people, injured dozens and damaged hundreds of homes on Sunday, officials said.
Numerous 228,000 estimated people killed in the 2004 Indian Ocean Boxing Day tsunami were from Indonesia.
The shallow 6.4-magnitude quake jolted the island in the early morning, sending people running outside in panic and triggering landslides on popular mountain hiking routes.

Dozens of houses and buildings were damaged and the quake was felt in Bali, but there were no casualties or damaged reported there.
"We jumped out of our beds to avoid anything falling on our heads", said Jean- Paul Volckaert who was woken by the quake while sleeping in the Puncak Hotel near Senggigi on Lombok.
The shallow magnitude 6.4 natural disaster struck early this morning near the city of Mataram, fatalities were caused when falling slabs of concrete were dislodged.
Many houses were damaged in the quake.
The U.S. Geological Survey says the magnitude 6.4 quake struck at a depth of 7 kilometers (4.4 miles).
Lombok's most famous attraction is Mount Rinjani, the second-highest volcano in Indonesia stretching 3,726 metres above sea level. However, the region remains acutely alert to tremors that might trigger tsunamis.
No tsunami alert was issued, he added.

The European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre, the European quake agency, put the magnitude at 6.5.
The natural disaster was on land and did not trigger a tsunami.
Indonesia sits on the Pacific Ring of Fire, a seismic activity hotspot, and is frequently hit by earthquakes.
