Jubilant Croatian fans honked their vehicle horns and let off fireworks while England fans sobbed and looked to the future with confidence after Mario Mandzukic's extra-time victor took Croatia to its first World Cup final.
Despite Kieran Trippier giving England an early lead, Croatia clawed their way back into the game and edged past Southgate's side after extra time.

The World Cup in Russian Federation has thrown up some stunning twists, turns and shocks, so it's perhaps fitting that its final game will feature the smallest nation to appear in the last stage of the tournament since 1950.
"We have the chance to do something better, and hopefully we can do it on Sunday".
In a sea of England jerseys, there was one lone Croatia shirt in the packed pub - two Croatian fans in total, who embraced in a hug after their momentous win.
