Klopp plays down Karius mistake

Rafael Camacho has hailed the 'major feeling of scoring his first senior goal for Liverpool after netting in a 3-2 friendly win over Tranmere Rovers this evening.

Karius, who cost Liverpool dearly with a pair of terrible mistakes in the Champions League final against Real Madrid, spilled Ollie Norburn's free-kick and Jonny Smith scored on the rebound.

Nobody likes that goal but if we talk about the second goal I think it was Millie's (James Milner's) fault together with (Pedro) Chirivella.

"Two brilliant footballers make this mistake, but we don't talk about it".

The Germany global, who also made two very bad mistakes in the Champions League final against Real Madrid, spilled Ollie Norburn's free-kick and Jonny Smith scored on the rebound.

He was then ridiculed by many Liverpool fans on social media for a glossy video of his holiday to the United States that showed him both working out and enjoying life in Los Angeles.

Jurgen Klopp insists that "mistakes happen" after goalkeeper Loris Karius once again gifted the opposition an easy goal in Liverpool's second pre-season outing. We can't make a story after each mistake, let's carry on and make the best of the situation and learn from it.

And Klopp replied: "You can all stop that immediately, promise?"

"Yeah, it will probably happen for a while until he has a few fantastic games, that is how the situation is".

His performance has inevitably led to speculation that Liverpool FC could be set to look to bring in goalkeeping reinforcements this summer as they look to challenge for the title next season. That you [the media] do what you do, we have to deal with it.

"Everybody has a place [here]".
