Rosey Blair, 30, and her partner were travelling back to their home city of Dallas, Texas from an improv comedy gig in NY when they may have unwittingly helped the romance to blossom.
Holden, the man who sat next to the mystery woman and then got in touch with Blair and her boyfriend via Instagram direct message after the incident, said he heard about Blair's viral play-by-play from a friend.
Blair didn't think much of her seat switch at first, but joked with her boyfriend that maybe the woman would meet the "love of her life".
Blair took advantage of the in-flight WiFi and started Instagramming and later tweeting.
They also touched each other's arms a few times, allowing Blair to sneak a peek at their hands. We assume she just doesn't want the attention, although we are sure she knows how invested we all are in this little love connection.
That's exactly what happened recently when a young woman inadvertently set two strangers up on a plane.
Blair told the story over social media.
Ms Blair promised that she would follow the couple's story "all the way to baggage claim" and she did, later sharing a photo of the pair walking away from the area together.
So is there a fairy-tale ending in sight for the famous lovebirds? Well, the internet is certainly rooting for one.
On Blair's Twitter handle, where she chronicled the activities of the new lovers, the story has accrued more than half a million retweets.
What unfolded was a series of Instagram stories, detailing the new seatmates' blossoming romance, including their conversation topics, slight elbow movements, and even the cheese board they had shared on board. That's when the man of everyone's comes and sits down.
