Meek Mill returned to the BET Awards stage with a powerful performance.

Jenkins asked the artistes which star they looked forward to meet the most and Blackman answered, "Nicki Minaj because she's from Trinidad and Tobago".

Black Panther star Michael B Jordan and director Ryan Coogler were also in attendance to accept their award for best movie, with Coogler giving an inspirational acceptance speech.

After earning almost a dozen nominations, Black Panther won top honors Sunday at the 2018 BET Awards. Watch the best moments and performances below.

"Stay Woke" marks the first new music from Meek Mill since his release from prison in April.

The BET Awards, established by Black Entertainment Television to recognise the best in African American culture, maintains an worldwide category for black music from outside the United States.

Migos performed "Walk It Talk It" and "Stir Fry".


The new tune featured singer Miguel, who shadowed the performance throughout.

Jamie Foxx paid an emotional tribute to XXXTentacion.
