Cohen tweeted his appreciation for Arnold's kind words about him on the air, but denied that they would be meeting, or that he will be appearing on Arnold's TV show.
It's not certain whether Cohen has given Arnold anything yet, but Arnold assured NBC News that Cohen has a reason to cough up the goods: "Michael Cohen showed up and worked diligently above and beyond and sacrificed and Donald Trump is like I don't even know who he is".
Earlier this week, actor Tom Arnold said he would protest Barron Trump's private school in order to counter the treatment of immigrant children at the border.
News asked Michael Cohen about the tweeted photo and he referred their inquiries to Tom Arnold who later contacted NBC News.
Cohen, who is under criminal investigation for his financial dealings, retweeted it without comment.
Last week, Trump said he hadn't spoken with Cohen "in a long time" and said, "He's not my lawyer anymore, but I always liked Michael". "It's on! I hope he [Trump] sees the picture of me and Michael Cohen and it haunts his dreams". "We're taking Trump down together, ' and he's so exhausted he's like, 'OK, ' and his wife is like, 'OK, f- Trump'".
Arnold also tweeted a picture of himself with former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci.
Since December 2016, Arnold has mentioned the Trump tapes repeatedly in interviews - and for a time was saying that he had them. Michael Cohen knows more than any living human how serious and risky it is for America and the world right now because of how incompetent the president is.
Arnold describes Cohen, who has run up a substantial legal tab contending with prosecutors from the Southern District of NY, as "tired".
It's been rumored that Cohen is ready to flip on Trump after being raided by the FBI following the explosive Stormy Daniels scandal and amid the ongoing collusion investigation by special counsel Robert Mueller. According to Vice, Arnold has teamed up with numerous celebrities and entertainment executives to dig for evidence on Trump. In October, he was questioned about a scuttled plan to build a Trump Tower in Moscow and emails he received in 2015 from Felix Sater, a former Trump associate, about the real estate deal.
As you may know, federal officials are now investigating Michael for his "business dealings".
