In the first look poster, Vijay is seen ready to light his cigarette in his signature style.

AR Murugadoss spoke on the occasion and said that the film will release on Diwali 2018. "As a team, we are working hard to deliver a unique content and hoping that people would embrace our product once again".

Kollywood actor Vijay's (Vijay62) new movie title has been unveiled today and it is titled as SARKAR. The makers of Sarkar have completed almost 60% of the shoot in Chennai. The film is expected to hit the silver screens on November 7 to coincide with Deepavali. Sarkar is expected to be a fast paced action thriller. Touted Tipped to be a social drama, the film stars Keerthy Suresh as the leading lady, while actors Pala Karuppiah, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Radha Ravi and Yogi Babu play important roles.

All eyes are on Sarkar as the combination of Vijay and Murugadoss has set the bar very high.

Vijay will also be soon leaving to the United States of America for a brief schedule of Sarkar. "Unlike Vijay's previous film Mersal, this one will not have any revenge angle and purely revolves around flaws in the system". It has AR Rahman's music, Girish Gangadharan's cinematography and Sreekar Prasad's editing. The actor-director duo have worked together before in Thupakki and Kaththi and this is their third collaboration which has raised expectations from fans about the film. Both their films were huge blockbusters at the box office.
