Watch Painfully Shy 13-Year-Old Singer Slay On ‘America’s Got Talent’

"She is really shy", her father says at her audition for America's Got Talent.

Sophie Fatu may only be five but she is brimming with confidence and won over all four "America's Got Talent" judges with her audition on the June 12 episode. "You're from a whole different era", said Howie Mandel.

The 13-year-old aspiring singer bashfully admitted that she was "a little bit nervous" as judge Mel B asked her how she was feeling, and she giggled awkwardly when asked questions about her favorite subjects in school.

"Bloody hell, Courtney! You were this shy little thing when you first came out".

She even made no-nonsense judge Simon Cowell, who is her favorite, smile from ear-to-ear. And then you sing, and you're like a lion.

The show first aired on NBC on Tuesday, May 29 and in the run up, Courtney could be seen on the advertising trailer.

But despite missing out on the title, Courtney's performances on the show earned her a string of rave reviews from a new army of fans on social media.

"Genuinely incredible", said Simon.

"I'm not Clive Davis, I'm Howie Mandel".

"Thank you so much Howie Mandel I am so happy and can't thank you enough". Watch the video to see her fantastic performance.

America's Got Talent had one of the cutest auditions!

Courtney competed in The Voice Kids UK a year ago but missed out on the top prize.
