The stagecraft was highly choreographed, but the results of the talks are still unknown: Both mercurial men entered the summit claiming to support "denuclearization of the Korean peninsula", but neither has defined what that means, or what it will take to get there.
Lasting peace has obvious benefits for China, especially in bolstering the development of its rust-belt and landlocked northeast which borders North Korea and would suffer in the even of conflict.
Mr Trump faced some tough questions, including one about Warmbier, the United States college student from OH who was arrested and imprisoned in North Korea for 17 months before being returned home in a coma.
Speaking to Cuomo, Rodman got emotional as he spoke of his efforts of trying to bring bitter rivals North Korea and the United States together.

Details were not shared about how the discussions have progressed so far and Trump and Kim have yet to meet face-to-face.
"I also think I'll know if it's going to happen fast - it may not, but I'll know pretty quickly whether or not in my opinion something positive will happen".

"I may stand before you in six months and say, 'Hey, I was wrong.' ..."
"I'm here. I haven't slept in 25 hours but I thought it was appropriate to do because we've been negotiating for literally around the clock with them and with us, and with John and with Mike and a whole team of very talented people."
