According to Record, Bas Dost wants to leave Sporting CP on a free transfer.
Sporting Lisbon have confirmed that six of their players are set to leave the club for nothing after terminating their contracts.
William Carvalho, Gelson Martins, Bruno Fernandes and Dutch striker Das Bost have all filed notice with the Portuguese Securities Market Commission to break their contracts.
The move comes several weeks after a group of fans attacked several players at the club's training ground last month after Sporting failed to qualify for next season's Champions League.
Originally regarded as one of Sporting's most valuable players, Fernandes could walk away from the club on a free transfer, as the turmoil at Estádio José Alvalade continues. Police detained more than 20 suspects in the hours following the incident.
GETTYSporting Lisbon president Bruno De Carvalho has spoken out after the players filed to leave
In April, outspoken president Bruno De Carvalho harshly criticized his team's performance against Atletico Madrid in the Europa League, and pointed out mistakes by individual players on social media.
De Carvalho has previously rejected calls by senior club members to stand down, accusing them of carrying out a "concerted attack on Sporting".
Ex-Liverpool centre-back Sebastian Coates and his partner Jeremy Mathieu came in for the strongest criticism, with De Carvalho claiming "it was [as] if we had nine players".
The Lisbon club are now in turmoil as the result of a rift between the squad and both the club's president Bruno de Carvalho and a radical group of supporters.
Ronaldo and Co will be accustomed to their surroundings having arrived in Russian Federation at the weekend as they stepped up their preparations for their World Cup opener.
