Meghan Markle and Prince Harry to honeymoon in Canada

It's not known when the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be coming to Alberta, but it's rumoured the pair will be staying in the Outlook Cabin, otherwise known as "The Royal Retreat".

When the couple respectively responded with, "I will", viewers noticed wedding guests laughing, as well as Meghan and Harry.

This retreat is situated in the Jasper National Park in Alberta, a Unesco World Heritage Site. In June 2005, Queen Elizabeth II also stayed in the cabin with Prince Philip.

Angela Moore, the regional director of public relations for Fairmont Hotels and Resorts, revealed in a statement on Monday that the Duke and Duchess were not now booked for a stay at the lodge.

Prince Harry and the former Meghan Markle, who starred in the TV series Suits, were married on May 19 at St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle after a courtship largely spent in Toronto where the series is shot.

However, previous reports said the couple was planning to head to Namibia on their honeymoon, or some other type of remote lodge in Africa.

The royal couple - who got married at St George's Chapel in Windsor on May 19 - chose to delay their post-wedding vacation so that they could attend Harry's father Prince Charles' 70th birthday bash last week, but it looks like they will be jetting across the pond any day now to spend time together alone as a married pair. After all, Harry has called the country his "second home", one that was also dear to his mother, Princess Diana, and it's where he and Meghan shared their first getaway as a couple.

If the trip does take place, it will be the first time Harry meets his new father-in-law in person.

Katie explained: "He feels it's very important that he gets to meet Thomas". It's Meghan's dad that goes running to them with news, not the Duchess.
