Dave Chappelle, Jon Stewart team up for super-exclusive summer comedy tour

The two mega-stars of comedy, who both once hosted popular shows on Comedy Central, don't often appear on stage together.

Jon Stewart and Dave Chappelle will join forces this June for a landmark comedy tour that will stop in Boston, Houston, and El Paso and yes, tickets are on sale now. The seven tour dates will take place in Boston, Houston and El Paso. As a nod to real fans and an attempt to thwart scalpers or bots, all tickets for the run of shows will be sold through Ticketmaster's Verified Fan platform.

The event will find the two touching on some of today's hottest topics while following up a series of shows from Chappelle, including a set at New York City's Radio City Music Hall previous year.

Stewart stepped down from "The Daily Show" on Comedy Center in 2015 after helming it for 16 years. Stewart announced last year that he will film new stand-up specials for the first time in 20 years, though the release date is still unknown. Stewart is also preparing for an upcoming HBO comedy special, his first since 1996.

"We've all missed his uniquely thoughtful brand of humor", HBO's programming president Casey Bloys said, according to The Hollywood Reporter. They've always set the standard for great stand-up specials.
