Hopefully, the Xbox One version of PUBG sees an update such as this sometime soon, but that might be less probable, given the recent hints that Xbox One sales are not what they seem or have seemed to be. It's pretty impressive how much better PUBG Mobile has been getting, and this latest update is definitely worth a reinstall if you've since deleted the game. This map not only offers new areas to explore, but new weapons and vehicles, too.
The new update for PUBG Mobile also addresses some lingering issues with the game.
- Desert map ("Miramar") is now available for selection. Plus, there's a new progression system that lets you collect rewards on reaching new levels and weekly activity missions to allow you to earn more loot. That's not all players have to look forward to in update 0.50 as it is a major patch with many improvements and additions.
Also listed in the changelog is a local quick team feature, which allows players to enter a 6-digit code to team up with friends that are close to you.
- Added a Shop, where you can preview and purchase new outfits and items.
- Added Regions: now you can choose your region and flag.
PUBG Mobile v0.5.0 improved spectator mode smoothness, striking and melee combat sounds, parachute camera smoothness, and the parachute speed matches the PC speed in-game.
- Improved display of personal information and results.
Thanks to Twitch's new stream filters, you're now able to filter PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds streams based on surviving players.
