Looking like the majestic Diva that she is, Deepika carried the embellished lehenga choli with floral motifs and heavy embroidery with utmost grace whereas her partner at the ramp, Ranbir Kapoor was striking in the black bandhgala.
Apart from the two, the event was also attended by Mouni Roy, Neetu Kapoor, Waheeda Rahman, Asha Parekh, Javed Akhtar, Huma Qureshi, Nushrat Bharucha, Yami Gautam, Kirti Kharbanda, and several other celebrities. It should, hence, surprise you in the least that the internet isn't being able to contain its excitement as a lot of them were of the opinion that Ranbir and Deepika "weave magic together".
Speaking at the event, Ranbir Kapoor said that the notion of masculinity has to be changed to empower women. It's very warm, it's about care, about being proud of her. "That is the bigger picture here so it's always wonderful to walk for Manish with Deepika and for Shabana aunty and everybody concerned with Mijwan Welfare Society".
When Deepika was asked regarding her experience of walking the ramp with Ranbir, she said: "It's very exciting". The ex-lovers were also seen talking about each other post the ramp-walk and their statements have indeed got us impressed. "It felt genuine, real and connected". The show is held every year by Shabana Azmi as she hopes to create opportunities of employment for women through reviving the art of embroidery. It's not your immature "I love her" kind of feeling.
