You have to admit this is a red hot idea.
Apple announced Monday that it will be releasing a new red version of the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus, according to The Verge. The special edition RED iPhone is available now to order online in select countries and regions.
The new iPhone 8 is stunning in red, but there's a problem: It's been seven months since iPhone 8 made its debut, which means nearly everyone who planned to buy one already has (or they got an iPhone X instead). Since then, Apple has launched numerous bright red products - mostly accessories - with the aim of raising money to go towards HIV/Aids charities.
Created in partnership with Aids charity (Red), the special-edition iPhones feature a glass panel back and matching aluminium band in "an nearly nuclear candy apple red", and a black front, reports Endagadget.
If you've been thinking about picking up an iPhone 8 or an iPhone 8 Plus, you have a new option to consider beginning today.
In total, Apple has donated more than $160 million to the global fund and is the organizations biggest donor.
The new iPhone wallpaper is dark yet colorful, and it looks terrific on the RED iPhone 8.
What are the special features of the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus? That means you still have the wireless charging, A11 Bionic processor, IP67 water resistance and 12-megapixel cameras. GST from Apple.com/au, the Apple Store® app and Apple Stores, and is also available through Apple Authorised Resellers and select carriers (prices may vary).
There won't be a red iPhone X. But you can buy a $99 leather folio for that phone.
