Number 15 ranked Ole Miss softball is coming off a 3-1 record at the Sand Dollar Classic and now they are headed even further south..
"I don't know if I've been part of a season with three overtime games, much less three overtime losses", Kennedy said. "But I'll get in the gym and continue to work on it".
Arkansas began to defend better over the course of the last eight minutes of the half and took a 34-23 lead into halftime despite the Rebels getting Razorback big man Daniel Gafford into foul trouble.
"We just needed to slow down and execute", Hall said. "It was my game".
"When some of our guys aren't scoring, we've got other guys capable of doing it", Anderson said.
"Well, I don't think it was ugly to tell you the truth", he said. "He's all about the team winning".
The Razorbacks (18-8, 7-6 SEC) won their third consecutive game and have their next two at home against No. 21 Texas A&M on Saturday and Kentucky on Tuesday. Beard's previous SEC high was 11 at Auburn and at LSU. The Razorbacks are 13-1 at home this season.
Ole Miss will close out it's weekend Saturday night as they face the Oregon Ducks.
Razorbacks guard Daryl Macon has scored 20 or more points in seven consecutive games.
The Rebels held Macon to a season-low four points as he hit shot 1 of 6 from the field - including 0 of 4 on three-pointers - but he found other ways to contribute. Transfers Autumn Gillespie and Celeste Wood both started all four games, while freshman Ally Mena and junior college transfer Izzy Werdann appeared in all four games.
Coach Mike Anderson said Monday that Bailey still wasn't feeling well. "He played the right way". In three of the past four games, Ole Miss has sunk at least eight threes and is now sixth in the conference in 3-point shots made per game, averaging 6.7.
It was Thomas' 12th start of the season and his first since the Razorbacks played at LSU on February 3.
If Bailey can't play, Arkansas' options at the power forward spot include seniors Arlando Cook and Dustin Thomas, and freshman Gabe Osabuohien. "I really like Mike Anderson and what he is doing at Arkansas", Kennedy said. "So I want to pay my respects to him". Andy Kennedy is a great coach.
Kennedy, 49, has been at Ole Miss since 2006, during that time making the Rebels into a consistent SEC program but one that never has been considered elite by most.
Kennedy's replacement may be in line for a higher annual salary than $2 million.
He is expected to make the announcement at a 3 p.m. ET news conference in Oxford.
"Whoever I brought in, they lifted our team up", Anderson said. "I have a face for radio".
Razorbacks Coach Mike Anderson didn't feel the need to apologize after the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville claimed its second road victory in eight tries.
"Ole Miss is a team that plays a lot of time with four guards, so that could be another scenario", Anderson said. The Rebels are now ranked at No.15 in the USA Today/NFCA Coaches poll. After sitting out the 2017 season due to an injury in the preseason, Gabby Alvarez finally got to make her Ole Miss debut as a pinch hitter.
"He is a resource in college basketball", Bjork said. "I respect him and I respect their program". "There will be a time for that".
