Two new map regions will come for the already impressively large game, allowing players to visit Sinai and the Valley of the Kings. Ubisoft also revealed release dates for upcoming Assassin's Creed Origins post-launch content, including season pass content and free add-on content, available to all players.
Next week, Assassin's Creed Origins players will be able to download The Hidden Ones.
Discovery Tour by Assassin's Creed: Ancient Egypt is what Ubisoft is calling its brand new mode in which enemy encounters and missions are removed from the experience, letting you take in the sights and sounds of the period in peace. In a new trailer released today, the developers have revealed the Almighty Gear Pack, a new downloadable pack that offers some fashionable and risky weapons for players to use in their play through. The DLC also increases the level cap to 55 and gives players access to new weapons and armor based around Egyptian myth.
These will all be included in the season pass, naturally, or made available separately. This time, players travel to Thebes to investigate the consequences of a nasty curse.
DLC 2 - The Curse of the Pharaohs focuses on Egyptian mythology, pitting players against famous pharaohs and Egyptian beasts as they investigate the cause of the curse that has brought the dead pharaohs back to life. It's also not clear how a paywall will be put in place on the quest line, ensuring that players without the expansion won't feel any friction if they choose to play the first quest.
Initially launched on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2014, Assassin's Creed Rogue tells the unique story of Shay Patrick Cormac, a fearless young member of the Assassin's Creed Brotherhood who undergoes a dark and slow transformation from an Assassin to a grim and committed Templar who hunts down his former brothers. For the 2016-17 fiscal year Ubisoft generated sales of €1,460 million.
