On Friday, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation added Wilson to its Top 10 Most Wanted List, and is offering a $2,500 reward for information that leads to his capture.
The Knoxville Police Department and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation confirm Wilson 31 is charged with attempted first-degree murder of a policer officer.
Authorities were searching for 31-year-old Ronnie Lucas Wilson, who has an unrelated, outstanding warrant for violation of probation for aggravated assault and who should be considered armed and unsafe, Rausch said. "If he is going to take a shot at an officer, he won't hesitate to shoot at someone else".
Wilson fired at the officer while in his vehicle, and then got out and continued firing, Rausch said.
Rausch said the officer is not believed to have fired his weapon.
Officer David Williams is out of the hospital after being shot.
.Officer Jay Williams has been released from the hospital and is recovering from a single gunshot wound he suffered to his shoulder during the attack, police said. "Let law enforcement handle this". He is a confirmed member of the Aryan Nations and has a history of violence. His Facebook page reportedly features shirtless photos of the suspect showing off his Swastika tattoos.
After he was shot Thursday, thousands of people from East Tennessee and across the country sent their prayers, love and gratitude to Williams and his family in hopes that he is able to have a quick recovery.
Rausch said that enforcement agencies across the state are "very familiar" with Wilson. He was given a three-year prison sentence after he was convicted of aggravated burglary in 2011.
Authorities ask anyone who sees Wilson to call E-911 immediately.
"The gang borrowed its title from the older neo-Nazi group of the same name, though the two are separate groups with few connections", the website reads.
