According to a report from AL.com, San Francisco 49ers linebacker Reuben Foster was arrested Friday in Tuscaloosa, Alabama under charges of second-degree marijuana possession. FanRag Sports confirmed the arrest by a database search.
Foster played at Alabama, where he was a first-team All-America pick and won the Butkus Award as the nation's top linebacker. He was named the Defensive Rookie of the Month for November. He started all the games that he appeared in, finishing the year with 72 tackles and a pass defended. Last March, Foster was sent home from the NFL Draft Combine in Indianapolis after getting belligerent with a hospital worker during his routine physical. He blew up at medical personnel at the National Football League combine and his urine sample came back dilute, which is an automatic positive test.
Few details have emerged from Foster's arrest, but this is undoubtedly not a good look for the San Francisco 49ers rookie.
