Vedral completed 22 of 29 passes and threw one touchdown pass this season after winning the backup quarterback job in a battle with classmate Darriel Mack. He added 89 yards rushing and two touchdowns on the ground.

Frost was named the Nebraska coach after the Knights won the AAC championship game.

UCF defeated Auburn in the Peach Bowl, 34-27, on January 1 to finish the season 13-0.
