The trailer spends most of its two-and-a-half minutes introducing this team. We already knew that Danny and Debbie were estranged, but as you can see in the above image, evidently they never reconciled, as Debbie, played by Sandra Bullock, is having a drink while sitting in front of his spot at the mausoleum.
The trailer reveals that the heist is going down at the annual Met Gala and the target is some crazy-expensive bling.
You can watch the full Ocean's 8 trailer tease below, and check back here at CinemaBlend tomorrow for the first full-length trailer. With female-led films like Ocean's 8 en route and House of Cards powering forward with Robin Wright as lead, it looks like the answer to our Hollywood problem is more women. It went on the spawn multiple sequels of varying quality but now they've chose to mix it up a bit by making another Ocean's film, Ocean's 8, only this time instead of it being a team of men, it's the women who are pulling the heist. There's no need to dwell on what these predictable trolls are spitting out. They did a similar thing with the Ghostbusters franchise past year and I for one welcome this transition. This is just the beginning.
Due out next June, Ocean's 8 will be released 11 years after the final installment of the original series.
