But Shambulal Regar, then attacks him repeatedly with a weapon, and screams for help are heard as the video gets increasingly hard to watch.
The Rajasthan Police has arrested a man for allegedly attacking a labourer from West Bengal with an axe and burning him alive over a "love jihad" incident. This gory incident has infuriated many people and Twitter is filled with angry tweets. The burnt person in the video was identified as Mohammed Bhatta Sheikh.
The victim, identified as Mohammed Afrazul, was a migrant from West Bengal's Malda district and was working in Rajsamand as a contract labourer.
In the video that went viral, Raigar can be seen beating up Sheikh and then pouring kerosene oil on his body and burning him alive.
In the beginning of the video, Shambhu Lal Regar, in a red shirt and white pants, is seen on the video with Afrazul, who quietly follows him to a spot.
The half-burnt body of the victim was found near a hotel in Rajsamand on Wednesday, said The Times of India report.
In another video, which is also going viral, Raigar is seen justifying the act as an endeavour to save a girl from "love jihad". According to Rajasthan Home Minister Gulab Chand Kataria, a special investigation team has been set up to probe the case. The senior police officials found a badly disfigured body when reached the location. The equipment, the victim's bike, and his slippers were also found from the crime spot. Police said that he had lured the victim on the pretext of offering him some work. When media platforms, commentators, political analysts, editors, members of the Opposition start using the phrase without drawing attention to its utter fakeness, to the manufactured nature of the narrative, then the hate crime committed in the name of action against "love jihad" finds its own sickened justification mirrored everywhere.
Amid claims that the material was handed out at a stall of Bajrang Dal, its coordinator Ashok Singh had said that it was not distributed from their stall.
