WWE SmackDown Live 12/5 Recap

While Zayn was gloating on the ramp, Randy Orton hit Owens with an RKO out of nowhere. However, Aiden English and Rusev were added to the match after defeating New Day Tuesday night. Shane then came out to announce that Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens would be teaming up at Clash of Champions to go against Randy Orton and a partner of his choosing.

Rusev and Aiden English def.

Making short work of some local talent, the Bludgeon Brothers demolished Adam James and Josh Carr with their trademark combination of devastation and teamwork.

Another match announced for the Clash of Champions was a triple threat match for the United States title. Dropping Roode with a Zig Zag, Ziggler doubled up on his finisher when he locked it onto Corbin, leaving him as the last man standing in the ring. There's no hiding the fact that even on a show built around champions that this match is far more important than any title match on the card.

After their previous rematch was interrupted by The Riott Squad, Natalya will be challenging for Charlotte Flair's SmackDown Women's Championship at the show. This time, however, Owens was handcuffed to the ring to make sure he would not interfere. With the Riott Squad hopefully evened out by the numbers, it was time for Charlotte Flair to send a message to Tamina. Though in the aftermath of the fight Owens and Zayn were out to get their revenge. After the show ended, WWE.com announced that Shinsuke Nakamura will be Orton's partner. After tonight though, it appears that it will most likely be Orton and Nakamura vs. Owens and Zayn at Clash of Champions on December 17.

WWE Smackdown LIVE took place from the Valley View Casino Center in San Diego, California.
