Rizwan's father and other family members reached the given address at Sarojni Nagar and found his body in the vehicle.
According to police sources, it is a case of suicide.
Meanwhile, the deceased's brother Riyazuddin Khan has alleged that Rizwan's friend's family had lied to them when they enquired about the victim's whereabouts on Monday. The student identified as Rizwan Khan, a second-year BA student was also a state level hockey player.
He further added, "The woman who picked up the phone said Rizwan had left the bag full of cash with her, and that she would hand it over to police".
Shareef Khan, the father of the deceased, said that his son had left the house at 12.30 am in his auto with '2 lakh cash in a bag.
The police might also question the female friend, who left the city early in the morning to play a match. He tried to reach his son on the cell phone but it was switched off.
Romil Baaniya is trying to establish as to what had happened between the time when he left his friend's house and the time when the body was found.Baaniyais also unclear why Rizwan left the money and phone at his friend's residence.
The friend's family in their defence said that they refused to give away their address as they were not sure whether the caller was related to the victim's family or not.
"After repeated attempts, the girl's father picked the call and gave their address".
Police said that it was Rizwan's father who found him lying in a pool of blood inside the vehicle parked outside the girl's house. A bullet injury was found on the right temple of the body. "A team of forensic experts have collected samples", the officer said. He said no suicide note was found from the spot.
The police have launched an investigation.
