In order to celebrate two different 10-year anniversaries, Ubisoft made a decision to give away two awesome games; Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag and World in Conflict. The victor will be chosen by the Assassin's Creed Origins development team, with five winners each week scooping a season pass code (or official Assassin's Creed shirt for those who already own a season pass), while one grand prize victor will also have their photography displayed at Ubisoft Montreal, as well as receiving their own high-quality printed versionof their pic from Cook & Becker. It's considered a mainline game, but it was only ever released on consoles for the PS3 and Xbox 360 at the end of their lifespans. Ubisoft thought this was a good reason to celebrate, so players will get a special surprise this holiday season.
Assassin's Creed Rogue was officially announced back in August of 2014.
Just be sure to take advantage of the promotion while it's active, or you'll miss out on getting the game for free. However, they have to be quick enough and get the games while they're free.
Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag is next up as a freebie, from 12 December (6am PST) through 18 December (2am PST).
As usual you will need a Ubisoft Uplay PC account to claim, play and keep these games. The expansion Soviet Assault will be included with your free download. Apparently it has been ten years "since the release of critically acclaimed real-time strategy game World in Conflict". Afterwards, you shouldn't have a hard time finding the free games, as they're carefully advertised on the front page through a big banner. I reviewed the original game and found that while it offered a new perspective on the Assassin-Templar conflict, it was a bit light on content and had some bugs.
