Hudson filed the restraining order after she claimed on November 15 that Otunga pushed her while she was holding their child, 8-year-old David Jr. PEOPLE reported that the duo did not state the reason for their separation, even though Hudson proceeded to file for protective order against him and to keep him away from their son.
According to TMZ.com, Otunga and Hudson have come to an agreement regarding the custody of their son, and Otunga will have primary custody going forward. The Grammy-winning singer is now filming "The Voice UK" in London and will be traveling rather frequently in Los Angeles as a judge on the American version of "The Voice".
We're also told Jennifer also voluntarily dropped her order of protection, which prohibited David from having contact with their son or her.
"Mr. Otunga has never abused or harassed Ms. Hudson or their son, and it is unfortunate, especially in today's climate, that she would feel the need to make these false allegations against him". Apparently they both now acknowledge that he will again become the primary custodial parent, at least until a formal custody agreement is worked out.
