A few weeks back, Marvel released Taika Waititi's lively yet slight Thor: Ragnarok while this weekend saw the release of Zack Snyder's Justice League, a genuine disaster. The latest TV spot is called "Heroes", and it shows Finn (John Boyega) awakening in some sort of medical pod after being in a coma at the end of The Force Awakens. As shown in the picture below, the pair will also be joined by the adorable droid BB-8. And in the higher echelons of Resistance command, we have Oscar Isaac's Poe Dameron butting heads with Laura Dern's Vice Admiral Holdo, without realising that they were both trained by General Leia Organa (Carrie Fisher). "There was just such an honesty, and it's a really lovely little scene that happens here between the two of them", he teased.
The trailers so far have teased some major moments for Rey, especially the moments where she raises her lightsaber, presumably, over Luke Skywalker, and the other where Kylo Ren extends a hand.
"Even though you never really believe he's going to go over to the dark side", Johnson continued, "the whole revelation of "I am your father" has to do with Vader and this darkness that [Luke] thought he could just dismiss as 'That's the bad guy. And no one can do it better than Sir Alec Guinness". "She really is trying to do the right thing and morally, her compass is really pointing north". She wants to be part of something.
Ridley told EW that Rey "doesn't really know what she wants" in the film, as she is still discovering her powers.
Asked earlier whether the Princes were given speaking parts Boyega joked: "I think they took that scene out".
