Nandi Awards: Here are 2014, 2015, 2016 winners

Andhra Pradesh's prestigious felicitation Nandi Awards for their exceptional work in Telugu cinema for the years 2014, 2015 and 2016 have been announced by the government of AP. All the biggest names from the South were awarded the NTR National Awards for the past three years.

The Nagi Reddy-Chakrapani award was won by filmmakers R. Narayana Murthy, M. M. Keeravani and K. S. Rama Rao. For those of you who don't know, Nandi Awards are presented to all Tollywood (Telugu) actors and films.

The same report also stated that chairman Ambica Krishna, MLA and Best actor for 2014 Nandamuri Balakrishna will meet chief minister Chandrababu Naidu to finalise the date for award ceremony.

The jury committee announced the Nandi awards in 64 categories for films, theatre and television. Ramya Krishnan won the Best Supporting actress award for her role as Sivagami and Rana Daggubati won the Best Villain award for portraying Bhallaladeva.

The state government had not announced the awards since 2014 due to bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.

Legend bagged the best film award for 2014 while the massive blockbuster Baahubali earned the award for 2015.

The NTR National Award for the year 2014 went to Kamal Haasan while the honour was bestowed upon Shri Raghavendra Rao for 2015 and for Superstar Rajinikanth for the year 2016.
