The presence of the Liverpool manager was the highlight of a fund-raising event organised by Second Division club Hout Bay United at the Bay Harbour Market on Wednesday night.
The 24-year-old England worldwide only recently joined the Reds from Arsenal with the intent of featuring more prominently, and got his first back-to-back starts in wins over Maribor and West Ham.
While he weighed in on many issues at the function, the one nugget he did leave behind for long-suffering Liverpool fans is: "Let me tell you that my aim is to win the league title with Liverpool".
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has named Mario Gotze as the best player he's ever managed. But now manager Jurgen Klopp has arranged a behind-closed-doors friendly for the club during the worldwide break, and the former Southampton man is expected to play.
Gotze was sold to Bayern Munich in a £31.5 million deal the following season, while Klopp remained at Dortmund for another two years.
"The biggest improvement, though, was Lewandowski", Klopp said at the charity fundraiser, according to Soccer Laduma.
It will also add some much needed strength in depth and allow Klopp a degree of rotation - although he might not want that after key players keep on performing so well.
"They will be raring to go and very eager to get on the pitch and score the goals they've wanted to because they've been missing out, and I'm sure they will be ready for any battle that comes ahead of them when we come back after the global break".
He continued: "I think you have to deal with injuries throughout the season, you're always going to have them, and that's why you have a broad squad to deal with that".
