Jio has introduced a Rs.459 plan that gives all same benefits of Jio 399 plan.
Starting today, the Rs 399 plan will be priced at Rs 459.
Another major change is that users who exhaust their quota of daily high-speed Internet will now get Internet access at 64kbps speed, half of the 128kbps Jio offered till now. It is not yet clear whether the validity of the postpaid plan at the same price will be impact as well. However, customers opting for it will get unrestricted access to 350 GB high-speed data for the plan period compared to 380 GB offered earlier for same price.
Reliance Rs. 52 Plan: Under this recharge, the Reliance Jio prepaid customers recharging with Rs. 52 can avail unlimited voice calling facility (all networks, Local+STD), 70 SMSes, along with 1.05GB of 4G data (a daily FUP limit of 0.15GB) for a validity period of 7 days. The Rs 409 pack, with Rs 500 security deposit, offers 20GB data without any daily restrictions on consumption. Under this recharge scheme, Jio prepaid users recharging with Rs. 19 can enjoy 150MB internet data for 1 day. On the other hand, the new Rs. 459 recharge plan offers its prepaid subscribers unlimited voice calling (any network Local + STD) and 1GB 4G data per day for 84 days on a recharge of just Rs. 459.
Under the tariff revision, Jio has also increased the amount of data bundled with the Rs. 149 prepaid pack. Earlier, customers got 2GB for 28 days under the same plan.
Reliance Jio has a Rs 399 plan that gives users 1GB data per day, unlimited calls, as well as SMS for 70 days. At this price, the company offered 84-day validity till now.
As we all know Jio has already made a year ago an exciting one with the whole new world of Jio4G free services. The Rs 509 plan will now come with reduced validity period of 49 days instead of 56 days.
In high-value recharges, the data cap of the Rs. 999, Rs. 1,999, and Rs. 4,999 has been reduced as well, while their validities remain the same at 90 days, 180 days, and 360 days, respectively. It will also offer subscription to Jio apps. The Rs. 9,999 plan - the most expensive the company offered till now - seems to have been eliminated altogether. Others get 1.25GB data per day. Jio 399 plan now gives 70GB data with a daily usage of 1GB high-speed 4G data. With the Rs. 149 pack, users will get 28-day validity, 4.2GB data (150MB per day), and 300 free SMSes.
The development is a big positive for Airtel, Vodafone and Idea as Jio have been disrupting the market since its launch in September 2016 through first free and then rock-bottom data rates and free-for-life voice calls across the country, forcing older operators to slash rates to retain users at the cost of severe financial pressure.
