Shortly after, Ryan Fitzpatrick took over for Winston.
Their starting quarterback, Jameis Winston, is doubtful to return to the contest after suffering a shoulder injury against the Cardinals. He attempted to work through the injury but looked over at quarterbacks coach Mike Bajakian and shook his head.
He remained in the game for that series and two more before being pulled.
Right now, Jameis Winston ranks 14th in total passing yards (1,198) - which if you use his 300 yard per game average so far to give him a fifth game would move him to 4th in the National Football League right now behind Brady, Carson Wentz and Carson Palmer. This wouldn't have happened unless Winston truly felt he wasn't physically able to continue. Through four games this season, Winston is on pace to have another season above that number. Winston was 5-for-10 for 51 yards. He also led an 11-play, 70-yard drive capped off with a 1-yard run from Martin in the fourth quarter. He also threw two interceptions. Regardless of the Bucs almost pulling off a comeback in the second half, that's still concerning.
Winston was hurt attempting a throw during the second quarter of the game when Cardinals pass rusher Chandler Jones dropped the 23-year-old gunslinger to the ground while the Bucs were being shut out by Arizona.
