Paul Pogba could return within a fortnight

Jose Mourinho initially feared that would be "long term" and while United were at one point so concerned about the recurrence of such issues that they were considering sending Pogba to a specialist about his hamstrings.

This will come as great news for the Old Trafford faithful, with the midweek return meaning the 24-year-old could also be available for the Red Devils' Premier League high-flyers clash with Tottenham Hotspur just four days later. He's provided regular updates on social media, videoing himself on a treadmill most recently.

The record signing posted the above and below photos on his Instagram story.

The Frenchman has been unavailable for Man United and France selection since a hamstring injury 19 minutes into his UEFA Champions League debut for the club, having been captaining the side against FC Basel.

Fellaini injured his knee on global duty in Belgium's 4-3 win away at Bosnia and Herzegovina last Saturday but it's unclear how long he'll be ruled out for. However, with Manchester United facing rivals Liverpool on Saturday lunchtime, their midfield options seem stretched to just Nemanja Matic, Ander Herrera, and Michael Carrick. The midfielder was substituted during the first half of their 4-3 win over Bosnia and Herzegovina after suffering strained knee ligaments.

The striker missed the game against Bosnia with an ankle injury he suffered in training before United's 4-0 win over Crystal Palace ahead of the worldwide break.
