IS has seen its territories in Iraq and Syria diminish drastically over the past year as the militant group faced multiple offensives from global powers and regional actors.

'There's a restaurant called Texas Roadhouse, they have steak there, ' she said. He died in an airstrike.

"I still have hope, hope to go to school, hope to be a normal person, hope to be a mother to my child", she said.

Despite her dislike for ISIS, she married one of its fighters and is now six months pregnant.

Earlier in the week, US Special Presidential Envoy for anti-Daesh coalition Brett McGurk said that the operation to clear Raqqa of terrorists was in its final stages. The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) coalition of Kurdish and Arab fighters says it has taken control of 90% of the Syrian city, with less than 400 ISIS jihadists remaining in the region - down from an estimated 3,000-4,000.

"We have seen a trend of ISIS surrendering over these last months, about four to five per week. including emirs and leaders", Mr Dillon said.

IS has held the city, which is considered to be the group's "capital", since 2014.

Most of the Raqqa city center has come under SDF control.

Deals to allow Daesh fighters to withdraw from territory have been negotiated in the past, including in May when an agreement allowed several dozen militants to flee the town of Tabqa, west of Raqqa.
