Remember the viral phenomenon that was #TheDress?
Nicole Coulthard uploaded a photo of a trainer to a Facebook group, asking people what colours they could see in the photo - and it's a HUMDINGER of an optical illusion.
"What do you girls see?"
"Ok girls so my friend has just sent me this asking what colour the shoe is, I would say pale pink and white, but she insists its pale blue and grey [sic]", Coulthard asked the group.
Is it pink and white or grey and mint green? She added that the confusion first began when her mum complimented her on her new "blue" shoes.
It was the dress that captured the attention of the masses a year ago with many people saying they see it as white and gold and others saying it is blue and black, however, the original poster showed other pictures in which the dress is definitely blue and black.
This is particularly evident under bad lighting, like when you look at the stars and some people say they are red while others think they are pink.
Nicola told the Metro that the trainers belong to her friend and that in reality they ARE pink and white.
Again these discrepancies would not be enough to account for the huge difference in colour perception of these pictures. Several users commented saying it was pink and white, some said it was turquoise blue and grey, while others could not make up their mind.
"I see both", another said.
While social media fans were going insane over this latest optical illusion, it's nothing compared to "dressgate".
Within the space of an hour, the post had gained 1,000 comments and caused a serious debate.
And hoards of celebrities got in on the debate.
"Kanye sees black & blue, who is colour blind?"
Many viewers of the dress thought it was black and blue, but some argued that it was white and gold.
