Taking a break from the theatrics of her Witness tour stop at Barclay's Center in Brooklyn, Perry yielded the stage to attendees Katy (yes, Perry freaked out over having the same name) and Becky for a surprise wedding proposal on National Coming Out Day.
Bringing the women up on stage, Perry - who was dressed in a sequin silver bodysuit with oversize sleeves, a half skirt and a beaded Cher-like headdress - pointed out that she had a shooting star and asked each what they would wish for.
Katie, clearing nervous, then took the microphone and looked at Becky as she told the audience: "Well, I don't know if all of you've all seen Becky, but she's pretty even without any make-up on. she's ideal!"
"You said you had a wish".
As Katie pulled a ring box out of her pocket and dropped down onto one knee, Swish Swish star Katy was seen also falling to her knees on the stage in excitement. And it was such an exciting moment that Perry literally couldn't keep two feet on the floor.
"Becky, will you marry me?" she said.
Becky, as fans might imagine, said yes and Katie jumped up - giving her girlfriend a kiss and a hug.
The proposal was filmed by a fan in the audience and later shared on Twitter.
KATY Perry has played Cupid and helped two loved-up fans get engaged in front of a crowd of thousands during one of her shows.
The pop star posted a video of the proposal on her Instagram Stories feed while other fans also posted clips.
