The in-form Garcia moved above Konta into the eighth and final qualifying spot for the season-ending tournament in Singapore with back-to-back tournament victories in Asia.
Johanna Konta has withdrawn from the Kremlin Cup due to a left foot injury - and can no longer qualify for the BNP Paribas WTA Finals Singapore presented by SC Global. The Frenchwoman has taken advantage of Konta's poor form with back-to-back titles at the Wuhan and China Opens, two of the biggest events on the WTA Tour.
Last year, Konta suffered similar frustration after narrowly missing out on a place in Finals.
Konta's bid to compete in Singapore in 2016 was painfully snatched away by Svetlana Kuznetsova's Kremlin Cup win and the world No. 10 didn't get the opportunity to do the same to Garcia.
Konta's withdrawal from the event in Russian Federation means Frenchwomen Garcia has been assured of a place in Singapore and the line-up for the prestigious tournament has been confirmed.
Garcia joins Simona Halep, Garbiñe Muguruza, Karolina Pliskova, Elina Svitolina, Venus Williams, Caroline Wozniacki and Jelena Ostapenko in the field.
