- According to PWinsider.com, here is the latest on the Neville/WWE story, which contradicts the original report and update from this morning... A quick search online shows that he was not at the weekend live events so he might not have been flown to Raw on Monday.
The original plan for Raw was Neville vs. Enzo Amore, but that was changed over the course of the day when someone voiced that Neville couldn't get a title shot due to the current storyline.
Neville's future with the WWE is unknown however, officials denied to the Wrestling Observer that he has quit the company. One person close to the situation has insisted that he is "100 percent gone".
The site says two sources said that Neville has pushed for a release with the idea of leaving the company and building his name outside of it, similar to what Drew McIntyre did prior to his return to NXT.
If the British star decides to resign, which seems to be the likeliest senario, then he will be following in the footsteps of his Wrestlemania opponent Austin Aries who left after a string of booking decisions that went against him. It's possible that things could be worked out but right now, the feeling in WWE is that he is done. Also, it would not shock me if WWE asked him to sign something preventing him from talking negatively about the company in exchange for his release so it's possible that we will never know the full story behind his departure.
