Chef has collected 1.05 crores on its 1st day at the box office which is lower than movies like Simran (2.77 crores), Bhoomi (2.25 crores), Haseena Parkar (1.87 crores), Lucknow Central (2.04 crores), Daddy (1.25 crores), Poster Boys (1.75 crores), Indu Sarkar (1.20 crores) & a huge list to count.
We hope that the movie witnesses growth over the weekend. Taran Adarsh tweeted that Chef has a shockingly low start. The first day collection of Chef is less than nearly all Saif Ali Khan movies released in last 10 years.
Svar plays Saif's son in the movie, while South actress Padmapriya is seen as his love interest.
Trade analyst Girish Johar said, "To some extent, "Judwaa 2" will remain a competition to "Chef". Chef was released on October 6. As per early estimates, Chef first day collection will be less than 2 crores.
Film critic, Shubhra Gupta said, "There are some interesting flavors here, but "Chef" feels derivative and doesn't come together as a fully satisfactory dish. The smoothness that should have been part of a first-rate spread is evident only in some parts: the others are awkward and stilted and contrived, and that impacts the entire film".
Saif Ali Khan starrer Chef opened at a paltry number of Rs 1.05 crore which must have disappointed the makers and distributors. Its collections will most likely go up, but it needs a strong showing to make up for the miserable opening day.
Stay tuned to this website. People usually cheat in movies with scenes of cutting and chopping, but we have done that well.
