Ten months after undergoing surgery to fix a torn labrum in his shoulder, Andrew Luck will finally return to practice this week.
"Andrew's doing good, he's doing really good, " Ballard said on WFNI.
"We'll slowly start working him back into practice this week", Ballard said Monday night, per Mike Chappell of WTTV-TV in Indianapolis.
Luck hasn't practiced with his teammates since undergoing January surgery to fix a torn labrum in his right shoulder.
The first overall pick in the 2012 draft, Luck completed 63.5 percent of his passes last season for 4,240 yards, 31 touchdowns, 13 interceptions and a 96.4 rating in 15 starts. Brissett will nearly certainly make his fourth straight start this Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers.
Pagano also noted that rookie center Deyshawn Bond has "quite a significant quad injury" and was hopeful they could get Ryan Kelly back from injury.
Luck will still likely need time to transition to game speed before taking the field possibly on October 16 against the Tennessee Titans or six days later at home to the Jacksonville Jaguars. However, it remains to be seen how quickly the team integrates their franchise quarterback into practice, and how his shoulder reacts to the work. Like anybody else we are going to bring him along carefully.
"Again, it'd be great just to have him out there with his teammates, red jersey on, working again".
