He had allegedly slipped and fallen in the corridor of the school. Earlier in 2016, a dead body of a six-year-old student, Devansh Kakrora, of Ryan International School, Vasant Kunj was found in the water tank.

Kumar, the son of Amichand, resident of village Ghamroj has been arrested in the Bhondsi murder case of a seven-year-old child, the DCP said in a statement.
Those detained for questioning included Class IV staff like sweeper, gardner, bus driver and conductor, the police said. The eight-year-old boy was found outside a school toilet, crawling and bleeding profusely before he died.
The boy, identified as Pradyuman Thakur, was found with his throat slit. After about half-an-hour, at around 8.45 am the school authorities called his father and informed him about the fatal incident. He was asked to come immediately. Pradyumna was declared brought dead at Artemis Hospital. Gurugram police has also sought time till 9 am to solve the case. Police have started its investigation. "Despite all attempts, unfortunately his life couldn't be saved", it said, adding that the school was cooperating with the police. However, the student's face is not visible. The team also examined CCTV footage from over 30 cameras installed on the school premises, .
The incident sparked protests by parents, two of who were arrested for vandalising the school property. It is speculated that his death was a premeditated murder.
