This deleted scene from The Devil Wears Prada is going viral

Thank goodness the editors cut that scene because it has no place in the cinematic perfection that is The Devil Wears Prada.

In the short clip Meryl Streep's character Miranda Priestly sheds her usual frosty personality for just a second and gives just a hint of humility. However, if this new deleted scene is anything to go by, it could have been a very different story.

The clip shows Priestly at an event with Andy (Hathaway) and Emily (Emily Blunt) and while there, Priestly's husband strolls up (seemingly drunk) and begins ranting at the group, including some pretty important guests. Emily slips up and forgets someone's name, allowing Andy to come to the rescue and glide into her boss' good graces.

And while everyone's may have their own feelings about the fictional Miranda Priestly and her machinations, a deleted scene that's been making the rounds online is changing how many feel about the film.

Not only does the addition of seeing her husband expose Miranda's vulnerability (and maybe slightly explain her awful behavior), the scene ends with her actually thanking Andy for her help - something that doesn't happen at any other point in the film.

Diehards were obviously shocked by the clip as one responded 'Whole. Would it have ruined the movie or do you think it should have been left it?
