The full debut of Mercedes-AMG's crazed Projcet One hypercar is just a few weeks away, but for now, here's a cheeky teaser image to whet your appetite.
Power of the Project One will be provided by a 1.6-litre turbo V6 with hybrid assistance, derived from Mercedes-AMG's 2015 W06 Hybrid Formula One auto. According to Mercedes-AMG, the Project One "brings the very latest and efficient, fully-fledged Formula 1 hybrid technology to the road" and "combines outstanding racetrack performance with day-to-day suitable Formula 1 hybrid technology and exemplary efficiency".
Using aerodynamics technology developed in Formula 1, the insane creation is likely to offer mind-bending downforce and grip around corners.
Other than that, Mercedes says the auto "combines outstanding racetrack performance with day-to-day suitable Formula 1 hybrid technology" and efficiency.
Mercedes-AMG also confirmed that the F1-derived hybrid hypercar, known by its working name, Project One, will produce more than 1,000hp from its hybrid powertrain and will have a top speed in excess of 350kph.
Should you be able to afford the rumored $2.4 million asking price, you're unfortunately out of luck as all 275 models slated for production have already been allocated. Mercedes-Benz will reportedly ask $2.6 million Dollars for each Project One produced with the entire run of 275 units already being pre-ordered.
