Stealing a auto and leading deputies on a chase wasn't about to stop one man from seeing Monday's total solar eclipse, according to authorities.
The Orange County Sheriff's Office said on its Facebook page that Jocsan Rosado was arrested Monday after he parked what deputies say was a stolen vehicle to watch the eclipse.
Deputies said Rosado went into the store and bought a welding helmet with blue flame decals on it.
On the Orange County Sheriff's Office Facebook page they said, "He never saw it coming".
It was an arrest "that only happens every 99 years", according to a Florida sheriff's department.
Welder's masks are not approved eclipse-viewing devices. The 22-year-old was then arrested while wearing the welding mask and staring at the sun.
