Simon Rimmer joins Strictly Come Dancing line-up

CHEF Simon Rimmer will be waltzing out of the kitchen and onto the dancefloor after he was confirmed as the latest contestant on Strictly Come Dancing.

Yesterday, Holby City's Joe McFadden was the sixth contestant to be announced.

Today's announcement was made on Channel 4's Sunday Brunch, where host Tim Lovejoy teased at the beginning of the show that one of today's guests would be the one gearing up to put on the sequins later this year, which only narrowed it down to about a dozen possibilities or so.

He gushed: "I am so excited, terrified and proud to be invited to be part of Strictly 2017". I've always been a HUUUUGE fan of the show. "I'm more ballroom than latin".

Presenter and TV chef Simon Rimmer will be donning the sequins joining fellow celebrities This Morning presenter Ruth Langsford, The Saturdays singer Mollie King, Hollyoaks' Gemma Atkinson, and EastEnders actor Davood Ghadami.

The 15th series of Strictly Come Dancing will return to our screens later this year, but a date has not yet been confirmed.

More contestants will be announced over the coming weeks, with the celebrities having to wait until the launch show to find out their partners. We can't wait to see who else joins the Strictly 2017 cast!

Sunday Brunch presenter Simon Rimmer is the latest celebrity confirmed to be taking part in this year's Strictly Come Dancing. Who's your favourite from the line up so far?
