Police Make Arrest In Dorchester Carjacking

A man was arrested Saturday morning is accused of crashing a vehicle he carjacked less than a mile away, Boston police said.

McGee, who police said had an outstanding warrant out of Dorchester District Court for assault and battery with a risky weapon and threatening to commit a crime, is now facing charges including leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident with personal injury and carjacking.

Shortly before 1:00 a.m., Boston Police Officers were called to a wreck on Columbia Road.

Police say the man was already wanted for assault and battery with a risky weapon.

One of two people in the other vehicle that McGee struck suffered minor injuries in the crash.

McGee also had an outstanding warrant out for his arrest on charges of assault and battery, and threats to commit a crime.

McGee was charged with leaving the scene of a motor vehicle crash involving personal injury and carjacking.
