At least two police personnel were injured after terrorists attacked a police search party in Bandipora district of Jammu & Kashmir early morning on Sunday.
Giving details, they said as CASO was launched on specific inputs about the presence of militants in the area, militants fired from the outer circle.
An official told reporters that the injured personnel were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
"Whole area has been now cordoned off and a hunt has been launched to track down the militant group", he said.
Both the injured have been hospitalised, he said.
Rising Kashmir has learnt that the injured policemen were identified as Mukhtar Ahmed and Muhmmad Ashraf while army man was indentified as Sepoy Raj Kumar of 13 Rashtryia Rifles.
"As security personnel tried to zero in on the houses damaged in the gunfight, militants opened fire again", said a policeman.
