Bareilly Ki Barfi actress Kriti Sanon has recently expressed a strong opinion on girls being stereotyped in society. I am getting films like Omerta, Trapped and Bareilly Ki Barfi, where I get to portray a multi-shaded character, who looks, sounds and behaves differently.
Kriti has stepped effortlessly into the character of Bitti, a small town, free spirited girl. "I always want to explore new things as an actor", reported IANS.
In Bareilly Ki Barfi, Ayushmann Khurrana will be seen portraying the role of Chirag Dubey, who is secretly in love with Bitti. And that's how I choose my films.
She is non-smoker please take a note. What she intends is that our society in which we live in has a very small bracket for 'good girls. She feels that bracket needs to broaden up or change. She feels that guy and the girl should be measured equally. I am playing a girl from Uttar Pradesh for the first time. "A de-glam role for the first time", she added. Not just this, her dialogue delivery is no less than ideal, and her sizzling chemistry with her co-stars Ayushmann Khurrana and Rajkummar Rao has made us even more impatient for the film.
The film also brings to the audiences a National award victor team with Dangal director Nitesh Tiwari, Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari and Rajkummar Rao.
"Bareilly Ki Barfi" is touted as the tastiest entertainer of the year and the trailer of the film and the songs have created enormous anticipation amongst the audiences.
Bareilly Ki Barfi is scheduled to release in theatres on August 18.
Kriti Sanon last featured in Raabta, co-starring Sushant Singh Rajput.
