While he played the quintessential chocolate boy in OK Kanmani, the original version of the Aditya Roy Kapur, Shraddha Kapoor's romantic drama Ok Jaanu, Dulquer Salmaan is now gearing up for Bollywood.
Dulquer has a few other films in the pipeline.
Mollywood heartthrob Dulquer Salmaan will make his Bollywood debut, alongside Irrfan Khan and Mithila Parker in producer Ronnie Screwala's new film. Mithila Palkar from the popular web series, Girl In The City and Little Things, will portray the female lead in the film. Besides the duo, it will star Irrfan Khan, although the character details of all of them are now kept under wraps. Story of the film is not revealed yet but it will be a light hearted comedy.
Dulquer's father Mammootty has also been a part of a couple of Bollywood movies, having made his Hindi debut as a hero in Dhartiputra in the '90s.
The movie, the shooting for which would begin in the first week of September, is co-written by the director himself and Hussain Dalal. Let's hope that the son has better luck.
Dulquer, whose last release was Amal Neerad's "Comrade In America, ' is now gearing up for the release of Bejoy Nambiar's Tamil-Malayalam bilingual, 'Solo". And yes, we also get a glimpse of Dino Morea, who will be making his debut in Malayalam with this film.
